What is 100 Mile Yard Sale?

Missouri’s Eighth District celebrates Memorial Day weekend by holding the “100 Mile Yard Sale” along Missouri State Highway 25, from Jackson to Kennett. The 4-day event begins on Thursday, May 27 and stretches for nearly 100 miles, passing through over a dozen towns. The event features yard sales from the hundreds of homes and businesses along State Highway 25, and is an opportunity to celebrate and honor veteran's sacrifices as a community.

This year, Eighth District Congressional Candidate Tommy Sowers will road march the entire length of the 12th Annual “100 Mile Yard Sale” on foot.

Tommy will be marching with voters, listening to their concerns, holding events, and conducting media interviews. This walk is roughly the length of entire state of Delaware, or the distance from New York City to Philadelphia. He will start at the Brookside Veteran’s Memorial Wall in Jackson at 7 am Thursday morning and cover roughly 25 miles a day until finishing Sunday evening at the Veteran’s Monument near the Dunklin County courthouse in Kennett.

Sowers can be found on these stretches of Hwy 25 over the 4 day period.
