St. Louis Post-Dispatch endorses Tommy Sowers:

Today the St. Louis Post-Dispatch announced their endorsement of Tommy Sowers:
“Mr. Sowers is hard to pigeon-hole: He’s a boots-wearing, pickup-driving graduate of the London School of Economics, a scholar-warrior who had the courage to lead a Green Beret A-team in Iraq but is wishy-washy on healthcare reform. He is targeting veterans in his campaign but is opposed to the war in Afghanistan. But Tommy Sowers would bring new energy to a district that badly needs it.”
Tommy Sowers commented on the news:
“I appreciate the endorsement from the Post-Dispatch. While they call it ‘new energy,’ I call it ‘new blood.’ We simply need better leadership for our area. We’ve had 14 years with Congresswoman Emerson and not only has she not been the leader we need, but now she seems only able to blame other DC politicians. But here’s the truth—they are all to blame. We face tough challenges—the loss of manufacturing, record unemployment, a $13.5 trillion national debt and a broken system in DC. I’m a fighter, and I won’t stop fighting until we’ve brought the jobs back, brought 21st century infrastructure to our area, tackled the debt and cleaned up Washington.
“This endorsement is recognition that if we send the same folks back, we’ll get the same results. As a farmer down in Senath said, ‘It’s time to rotate the crops.’”
